New members of management at Ineas

The online insurance company Ineas has made two additions to its management team - Marianne Oomens and Manny Soar. Marianne Oomens has been appointed Managing Director as from 1 January 2000, while Manny Soar took up the post of Chief Financial Officer on 1 November 1999.

Marianne Oomens

Marianne Oomens (43) studied law at the University in Leiden and, after graduating, went on to carry out various support functions in the insurance industry. Since 1990, she has performed various management functions, such as Director/Secretary General of the Dutch Association of Fire Insurers, Director of the Insurers’ Institute for Loss Prevention, Director of the Association of Insurers and, in the period 1996 to 1999, Director of Marketing and Communications at UAP-Nieuw Rotterdam Verzekeringen (now AXA). Marianne Oomens has spent the last year as Senior Consultant / Head of the Finance advisory group at Bikker Communicatie in Rotterdam. From 1 January 2000, she will be combining her broad management experience and strategic insight in her new job as Managing Director of Ineas Insurance Company N.V.

Manny Soar

Manny Soar (33) comes from London, where he worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a consultant in the Information, Communication and Entertainment group, his area of specialisation being finance and technology. Before that he had held various posts in the area of financial management and business analysis. At the Campbell Soup Company in the UK he was responsible for the financial results of a business unit. In 1992 he was Financial Manager of an international public relations start up Interscience Communications, for which he set up the London and European operations. Prior to that, he was an auditor with KPMG in London, with several finance sector clients. Soar qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in finance from the University of Cambridge.
