Ineas
offers higher value services
Primes®:
Risk management on your home computer
With
Primes®, Ineas, a recently founded insurance company, has
introduced a select service for visitors to its Web site which allows them
to access information on personal risk management. Primes®
offers clearly structured information and useful tools, which can for
example be used by the consumer to carry out calculations on insurable
values and no-claims bonuses.
Primes® is a service provided by Ineas Insurance
Company N.V., based in Amsterdam and the first insurer in Europe to be
established with the exclusive aim of exploiting the interactive
possibilities of the Internet. After a period of intensive preparations
Ineas began operations in the Netherlands in June 1999 and subsequently in
other European countries.
With Primes® personal risk management, today’s
consumers have a powerful tool at their disposal that assists them in
gaining information on possible risks and potential consequences as well as
on available protection against such risks. The idea behind Ineas’ launch
of Primes® is to help the consumer to reduce everyday risks to a
minimum and provide advice on adequate cover.
The Primes® web site was designed in cooperation
with specialists in the field of personal risk management. It features a
general introduction and three sections covering the different aspects of
personal risk: “Determine your risk”, “Tips & Advice” and
“Tool box”. A click on the mouse on any of the sections opens up a
direct link to a wealth of information on the chosen topic.
Prevention
and calculation
In
the “Determine your risk” section a series of questions raises the
consumer’s awareness about the risks relating to driving a car, travelling,
accidents or liability.
The
“Tips & Advice” section contains much general information about risk
analysis, prevention and insurance as well as plenty of practical advice.
The
“Tool box” section offers not only advice relating to prevention but
also useful tools to help make risk management easier. For example, the
visitor will find pre-formatted text modules that assist him or her in
creating various standards. Amongst the options of this unique tool are
letters for initiating a liability claim, terminating an insurance policy or
requesting a quotation. The letters are automatically generated,
personalised and directly printed (or downloaded) from the site. If possible
the letters are automatically provided with the correct addresses. Each
letter can be printed directly from the site.
Moreover,
the “Tool box” section includes a facility (private domain) for making
an on-screen inventory of property, ranging from valuables to car and home
contents. The consumer can also enter the details of all of his or her
insurances with the corresponding premiums.
In the “Calculators” section, Primes® offers
calculators for no-claims bonuses and insurable value. The first can for
instance be used to determine whether it is worth paying for the repairs to
a damaged car oneself or filing a claim with the insurance company; the
latter is a practical tool for calculating the value of home contents and
other movables in order to avoid under or overinsurance.
The fast-growing community of Internet users will find this
interactive site not only a convenient and uncomplicated channel for taking
out an insurance policy with Ineas Insurance Company N.V. but will also
value the Primes® personal risk management services as an
efficient means for gathering information about risk management and
prevention – 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
